Blouse: H&M, Skirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, Heels: Calvin Klein from Ross, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Banana Republic
If you follow me on Instagram (Brittanymichele8), you will know that I went to two different Targets the morning that the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection came out at Target. The first Target that I went to, the only had a few items of clothing from the collection. There was not one handbag in sight, which is exactly what I wanted to purchase. From the first Target, I did pick up these two skirts and I am completely happy with them. The material seems durable and the fit is perfect. It hits me right above the knee so it is a great skirt for everyday, but also work. The second Target that I went to had even less than the first. So I was completely out of luck when it came to purchasing handbags from the collection. I also did want the navy and cream sweater that features the jeweled neckline, but I have yet to see those in stores.
I have since gone back to Target once, and did see one of the larger black handbags, but after I considered the cost, it didn’t really make sense for me to purchase. The one purse I saw was $60 and I feel like I could get a real designer handbag for that cost at Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx.
Overall, I didn’t think the other items of clothing for the collection were of very good quality. The blouses and dresses seemed a bit on the cheap side, so for me, these two skirts were the best finds. I would love to hear about your experience with the collection. Maybe there was something that I missed. I did read from a YouTube guru’s twitter that she felt like the handbags were very poorly made and looked much better in the campaign than they did in person. That made me feel a lot better since I did not see any in person. Let me know what you thought about the collection!
Thank you for visiting with me today and I hope you all have a great week!
