On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to attend the Demi Lovato “Neon Light’s Tour” and be an on-site correspondent for Tampax. The day started off by my sister, Alexa, and I meeting Sarah, from Tampax, who was the sweetest person/host. She went over the whole day with us and told us what to expect. From there, we waited in line for Demi’s sound check party. Once we got in, along with about 200 other screaming girls, Demi came out on stage and did a private performance for us. She was extremely personable and humble, which I noticed immediately. She even did a Q&A session at the end, where her assistant read off a series of questions, one stating “If you are to die your hair next, what color will you do?”. And just so you all know, she said she would go to blonde, after this pink look.
Once the sound check party finished, about 100 of us lined up for the meet & greet. It was a very quick process where we went into a curtained area, Demi stood waiting for us to take a photo with her, and we were in and out once the photographer snapped the photo. The first photo in this post is from the meet & greet, and as you can tell, I was extremely taller than everyone else (even squatting down).
Alexa and I made our way to the Tampax “Be Radiant” booth next, where we took a series of photos, toured the booth and received new Tampax products. After that, we quickly went and grabbed dinner and made our way to our seats (which we had amazing floor seats). The host of the show was Collins Key, a magician who is 17 years old. He was very entertaining and definitely kept the crowd engaged. The first opening act was 5th Harmony, a UK girl group created by Simon Cowell made up of 5 women. The second act was Little Mix, another UK girl group with only 4 women. They were extremely talented signers and dancers. I was very impressed by them.
Finally, Demi came out. I loved her faux-hawk and braided hair look. Demi’s style is very edgy/punk rocker. She wore all black, which was great because her pink hair stands out a lot. Her show was fantastic. She is very talented, has a beautiful voice, she really engages the crowd and what I like most, is that she is real. She isn’t a superficial celebrity that seems to be pretentious. She seems like she can be your friend. And what I love even more is that she looks like a real woman. She is rail thin and wearing skimpy clothes on stage. She has a relatability about her that just makes her 100 times more appealing to an average woman like myself.
Overall, Alexa and I had a phenomenal time at the show. Thank you Tampax for this wonderful experience! If you missed my post on the Neon Lights sweepstake, make sure to visit it here. You can enter until March 5th for a chance to meet Demi and experience her concert in Nashville, Tennessee.
Thank you all for stopping by! I hope you all had a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend.
