Last Thursday, my friend Joanna and I attended day 1 of Miami Fashion Week. This was the first year that both of us attended, so we didn’t know what to expect. But let’s just say that our expectations were met and we had an even better time than we hoped for. We attended 4 segments of fashion shows, about 3-4 designers in each segment. My favorite designer of the night was hands down Julian Chang. His clothing was definitely a style that I could see myself wearing.
Along with the multiple fashion shows, there was also a segment for Univision’s beauty pageant, Nuestra Belleza Latina, where the top 4 finalist’s walked the runway in their beautiful evening gowns.
When we first arrived, we were upgraded seat’s to the center of the runway, which was amazing! We were front and center, and had the best view of the runway. As the night progressed, more and more people began to arrive, so we finally ended up in our real seats. Luckily, they weren’t too bad and we were still able to see all of the designs on the runway.
I will definitely be attending next years show! Joanna and I had such a fun girls night out, and I cannot wait to do it again!
