I want to start this post off by saying that I love to shop and have new clothing, shoes, accessories, etc., just like most girls. And since I love to shop, I have come to love the finer things in life. But the finer things in life cost a lot of money, unfortunately. And I am definitely not able to go out and buy the newest and latest designer trends. I have to save up for them. Sometimes for years. Well that is what happened with these beautiful heels!
I can probably count on my two hands the designer items that I would love to have in my closet. The reality is that most designer items are so expensive and now, there are usually items out there that look similar but for a fraction of the cost. So 99.9% of the time, I always either opt for the cheaper look-a-like or just get the item out of my memory because it will just never be.
With my wedding this year, I made two exceptions. There were two designer heels in particular that have FOR YEARS been on my radar. YEARS I say! I have had a lot of time to think about these expensive (for me anyways) purchases and decide if they are truly worth the money.
I present to you my Valentino Rockstud Pumps, which I still can’t believe I own. I have seen so many women wear these heels for the last 4-5 years, and I have always loved them. I love that they are super chic, yet edgy because of their studs. I love their design and how pointed the toe is with the sleek, thin heel. I just love everything about them really. The color I have is the Poudre Patent, and they are the perfect shade of nude/blush!
I purchased these heels for my bridal shower and almost got through the whole party wearing them. What I will say is that they run small. I returned 2 pairs before buying the largest size Valentino makes. Also, for me, they aren’t the most comfortable heels. Which was a shock to me because I had heard from a number of women that these heels are extremely comfortable. Also keep in mind, they have a 4″ heel, so they are on the higher side.
Nevertheless, I absolutely love them. Even though they aren’t my most comfortable heels, I still love their look and wouldn’t replace them. If anyone has recommendations on how to make their pointy-toe pumps a bit more comfortable, I would love to hear your advice, because I would love to wear these beauties more!
