Cardigan: Forever 21, Tank Top: Target, Scarf: H&M, Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch, Sandals/Earrings: Forever 21, Nail Polish: Sky Blue from Forever 21

I have to say, now that I am trying to steer away from my typical blacks and neutrals (which I will never give up completely, by the way), it does make me feel a bit happier when I get dressed every morning! When I am fully dressed in my Spring/Summer colored outfits, it gives me a sense of freshness for the day. It is definitely more complimentary to the weather here in Miami!

I hope everyone is ready for the weekend! Thank you for stopping by today!

Dress: Gap, Necklace: Forever 21, Sandals: Gap Outlet, Bracelet: Banana Republic, Nails: Funny Bunny by OPI

Hi everyone! I am back! Sorry I was gone for so long but I have been fighting a virus for over a week so I haven’t been feeling my best. Today, for my Thursday work look, I opted for this orange maxi dress, which is one of my favorite maxi dresses I own because the length is perfect for me and the cut is extremely flattering. And the color… well it speaks for itself. It is perfect for the spring. And I am a huge fan of orange. I feel that it compliments my complexion best. Whenever I go for red lipsticks, nail polish, clothing, etc., I always lean towards the reds with an orange undertone.

I hope everyone has been doing well and is ready for the weekend! Thank you for stopping by!

The Holidays In New York City!

After Christmas, I left on a girl’s trip to New York City with my aunt and cousin. We went to see Chicago on Broadway, shop a lot, eat a lot, oh and did I say shop a lot? That is just what I like to do when I am in the city, shop, eat and see a show. It doesn’t get any better than that. Since we were only there for 4 days and 3 nights, we had a lot of things to cram into those few days. During our shopping excursions, I found some great and affordable pieces at various stores and I will be sharing with you some of my findings in future posts!

Lunch In Wynwood

For my departmental holiday party, our team ventured to the Design District in Miami, also known as Wynwood, to have celebratory lunch. If anyone is in the area, you should definitely try lunch or dinner at The Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. The menu features a great variety of tapas! And may I recommend the Latin Misu for dessert. TO DIE FOR! And a perk of this restaurant is the stunning array of art work throughout the restaurant. Plus, The Wynwood Walls are a part of the venue as well, so it is perfect for an art filled experience!

Wedding Chic: Miami Style!

Peplum Dress: Banana Republic
Teal Earrings: Banana Republic
Cheetah Heels: W Shoes
This past weekend, I attended my beautiful cousins wedding at The Palm Hotel in Miami! It was a gorgeous celebration full of family, friends and amazing food. And the decor of her wedding was perfect for our South Florida weather.
Now about my outfit! When I went shopping, I had not planned anything in my mind that I wanted to buy. We all know that when you envision an outfit in your head and then get to the store, they never have exactly what you had envisioned, which can be such a dilemma. So I went to the mall with an opened mind and not a clue of what to buy.
My last stop was Banana Republic, and thank goodness because I was not having luck at any other store. I saw this black peplum dress right when I walked in a knew I needed to try it on. It is from their new collection and looked extremely versatile; something that I always look for in an outfit. After trying it on, I knew this dress was great for an occasion like a wedding, but also has the ability to be dressed down for a more casual look for work, while still being extremely chic!
Once I tried on the dress, I had “envisioned” a green pair of chandelier earrings, and lucky for me, Banana Republic has this STUNNING pair displayed in their jewelry section. Oh and the best part, everything in the store was 30% off so I was definitely purchasing both the dress and earrings. For my shoes, I opted for a cheetah heel that I wore with the dress seen in this post from my trip to Puerto Rico (sorry, I did not photograph them before).
All in all, I think this look came together perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchases and I was very comfortable during the wedding. Now I have a beautiful peplum “LBD” that is multi-functional and great for many different affairs; plus a striking pair of teal earrings that I know I will get a lot of use out of.
