It is no secret that I am pretty much in love with the color blush! My bridal shower theme was blush, my bridesmaids dresses were blush and this outfit, well, it is mostly blush! I have said this before, but I have never been into the color pink. But this variation of pink, I am 100% into! It is ultra feminine and is also the prettiest neutral in my opinion.
One of the most versatile and important pieces a woman should have in her closet is a Little Black Dress. Now, I know I have spoke about the “LBD” many times on my blog, and that is because it is such a classic piece to have in your wardrobe. There are many different styles, fabrics and lengths when it comes to this piece. But the best thing is that there is a LBD out there for every single woman.
There are some pieces that become a staple in your closet the second you purchase them. That is exactly what happened when I purchased this oversized distressed denim jacket from Gap. If you follow me on social media, you will know how much I love this jacket. It is soft, it is super comfortable, and it literally goes with anything and everything I own. It may be the best purchase I have made this year. Yes, that is a bold statement, but it is true!
When you think of South Florida, I am sure you envision the gorgeous beaches, the beautiful palm trees, sexy bikini’s and the vibrant culture, to name a few. Well the W Fort Lauderdale recently had a $55 million renovation and is hosting it’s first Art of Swim fashion and art event! Due to Hurricane Irma, the event date has been changed. Please check back to see the new updated time and date! The hotel drew inspiration from Miami’s renowned Swim Week and their goal is to elevate the swim fashion experience by incorporating art and interactive presentations. This is definitely an event you don’t want to miss!
Today’s blog post isn’t about fashion, but a more more personal post. It definitely isn’t something that I had intended on sharing, but I figured, it has been on my mind so much, I might as well put it out into the universe and share. I do feel like it is important for me to sometimes vear off into topics that are not just fashion, or beauty related. I want to share with you all some real life issues I have and would love your feedback in return.
I am the kind of girl to wear old t-shirts to bed. But lately, I have had the urge to change up my pajama game and actually wear nice things to sleep or to lounge around the house. It definitely makes me feel nicer and more confident, so why not? These Calvin Klein pieces are extremely comfortable and look super cute! They are perfect for taking on all of my trips (which I have been doing) because they are so light weight and don’t take up too much space in my suitcase.
In the past two years, I have become a bit of a blush lover. I have never been a fan of any color that is in the pink family, but for some reason (I guess I blame social media), I have developed a real love for the color blush. I even had my bridesmaids wear the color blush for my wedding, that is how much I am committed to the color. And what better color to pair blush with than my most favorite neutral: black!
Today I wanted to share with you all an easy, comfortable and casual style that is a go-to of mine. The outfit consists of a bodysuit, my favorite oversized cardigan, my favorite soft jeans, and a fun pair of sandals. This look is great for running errands, grabbing a quick bite to eat, heading out to the movies and simply hanging out with your friends!
I want to start this post off by saying that I love to shop and have new clothing, shoes, accessories, etc., just like most girls. And since I love to shop, I have come to love the finer things in life. But the finer things in life cost a lot of money, unfortunately. And I am definitely not able to go out and buy the newest and latest designer trends. I have to save up for them. Sometimes for years. Well that is what happened with these beautiful heels!
If you would have asked my 10 year old self if I would have ever worn so much pink, I would have laughed in your face. I used to make fun of my mom for loving it so much and for always wearing pink lipstick. I literally hated pink. Growing up, I loved the color purple. Not necessarily to wear, but just in general. Pink was definitely not a color I would even touch. Well that has definitely changed as of late!
In my defense, I really just love light pink and blush. I still cannot stand hot pink or magenta or any sort of dark pink shade. So that is how I rationalize my hate for pink growing up.
