When I went to visit Sarah a few weeks ago, we dined at the beautiful T.O.A. Asian Fusion restaurant in Farmingdale. We tried so many delicious things, so I wanted to share with you all some of the amazing food we had!
Website: Parker & Quinn
Location: 64 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018
Located inside the Refinery Hotel, Parker & Quinn is “inherently New York with global appeal.” It has a old school diner type feel, with some modern touches. The vibe definitely gives you a 1900’s New York diner feel, which I loved. The staff at Parker & Quinn were so helpful and attentive! My favorite part of our meal was their P&Q Brunch Boards! We had both their Bloody Board and their Bubbly Board which have the most gorgeous presentation! My favorite of the two was the Bubbly Board, but I highly recommend both if you love Bloody Mary’s or Mimosa’s. These are great drink brunch options when you want to share with friends!

Location: 63 W 38th St, New York, NY 10018
As the “crown jewel” of the Refinery Hotel, Refinery Rooftop Bar has an industrial meets luxury vibe! Situated in the Garment District of New York City, Refinery Rooftop Bar is a definite must when you are in the city!
To start, Sarah and I tried three of their signature cocktails: Perfect Pear (which was my favorite), Mango Basil Margarita, and the Frozen Hurricane. The Frozen Hurricane is their cocktail of the month that benefits a worthy cause. This month, the drink’s proceeds will go to the Developing Minds Foundation.
For lunch, we shared a few items on the menu. We ordered the Butcher’s Meatballs, Fresh Mozzarella Flatbread, Frico Grilled Cheese, Crispy Brussel Sprouts and some Truffle French Fries! Everything was so delicious and tasty! Our favorites were the Brussel Sprouts with sweet chili, fish sauce and the Truffle French Fries!
The atmosphere of this restaurant is not to be missed. You have the perfect view of the Empire State Building as well as the beautiful New York City skyline in general. Refinery Rooftop Bar is the quintessential New York City spot, and I would definitely come back here when I go into the city again!

Rustic Pear and Apple Tart
Since it is officially holiday season, I have been dying to try out some new fall-inspired recipes. I started looking through our fridge and pantry to see what I could come up with to test for the holidays. We had a couple of pears and apples so I decided to make a homemade Rustic Pear and Apple Tart!
Location: 1489 SE 17th St, Suite AFt. Lauderdale, Florida 33316
The first day of Swim Week, Sarah and I went to I Heart Mac & Cheese in Fort Lauderdale for a delicious and cheesy lunch! I feel like we sampled every single item on the menu and left beyond stuffed! If you are a lover of all things cheesy, than I highly recommend you go and try I Heart Mac & Cheese. They have the most delicious favor mac and cheese dishes. But not only that! They have some of the best sandwiches/grilled cheeses as well! I would venture to say that there is something for everyone whether you like seafood (their lobster mac and cheese with what they are known for) or buffalo chicken (they offer this in both a sandwich and mac and cheese).
Out of the mac and cheeses we tried, my favorite was the lobster mac and cheese. It was just the right amount of cheese and had the perfect amount of lobster! Plus, it came with gold fish on top, which made me feel like a kid again!
Out of the sandwiches we tried, I really loved the classic grilled cheese sandwich that they offered. What I loved about the grilled cheese was that each sandwich comes with a small cup of roasted tomato soup. If you have never tried a grilled cheese coupled with tomato soup, you are so missing out! It is the best combo!
And if any of the items on the menu don’t suit your palate, you can “Build Your Own” mac and cheese or grilled cheese sandwich!
Thank you to I Heart Mac and Cheese for hosting Sarah and I for a delicious lunch! We really loved everything we tried and will definitely be back for more!
The last time Sarah was in town, we finally made it to the “it” spot in Wynwood… Salty Donuts! I have hear about this donut shop for months from numerous people so I knew I had to give it a try. We tested out about 4 different flavors and all were delish! We tried the Brown Butter + Salt, “Traditional” Glazed Buttermilk, Guava + Cheese and the Lemon Poppyseed. I definitely recommend checking out The Salty Donut if you are in the Wynwood area, although you may have to combat some of the long lines.
I am so excited about having a long Memorial Day weekend. I plan on laying out by the pool, going to the beach, and just relaxing! I am currently redoing a few things in our apartment that I would love to share with you all soon. I purchased a really exciting item that I have been wanting for a very long time, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Chat with you all soon.

On Thursday, a few of my girlfriends and I attended the DonutsFest in Wynwood for a girls night out! The line up included two vegan donut shops which were delicious (Parlour Vegan Bakery – which I highly recommend, and Bunnie Cake), YoNutz Gourment Donut’s, Rhino Doughnuts (which I love), Donut Divas, Beaker & Gray and then the obvious shops like Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme’s! To say that we were in a sugar coma by the first hour there would be an understatement. We resorted to taking a bite of each flavor in order to try everything out. I am pretty sure we didn’t even eat at every shop, but what we did try was delicious.
I cannot wait to attend the next DonutsFest in the future because I have to say, I am becoming quite the donut connoisseur. Well, a self-proclaimed one anyways.
The Shore Club Hotel is a beautiful and modern boutique hotel located in the energetic South Beach area. I had the pleasure of eating at Terrazza at Shore Club, which is an Italian restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor dining. What I loved about the food at Terrazza is that it is extremely fresh and authentic. All of their pasta’s are homemade and their salads are all sourced from local produce.
If you are in Miami, and are looking for a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner and want a beautiful view of the Shore Club pool area, I highly recommend Terrazza. It is delicious, the view is amazing and you will feel like you are on vacation!
A couple of months ago, my mom, sister and I had the pleasure of doing a taste testing at Cupcake Galleria. It was such a lovely experience and we truly enjoyed every single cupcake we ate! First off, let me just say that the store is absolutely adorable. The pastel colors and the decor are so fun! Also, they have other options aside from just cupcakes. They have a milk bar too! It is a milkshake to pair with your choice of cupcake, which is delicious and basically the perfect combination ever. Lastly, the owner was so sweet and took care of us from the moment we arrived to the second we left. Charli made our experience so enjoyable. We absolutely loved her.
If you are interested in their cupcake options, click here to see the wide variety of cupcakes flavors!
Be sure to check Cupcake Galleria out if you are ever in the Broward area. The store location is 6947 Stirling Road in Davie.
Delicious! That is the only word that comes to mind when I think of Tatte Bakery And Cafe in Boston, MA. I discovered the bakery on Instagram, and knew when I went to Boston this summer, I had to go! I had my best friends from Boston College come meet me and Tyronne for breakfast (the morning of the day Tyronne proposed to me 🙂 I know, it was an exciting day!) We had an amazing breakfast/brunch at the Tatte Bakery location in Brookline and sat outside because it was absolutely beautiful out that day (as you can see from the photos above).
Tatte Bakery has 5 locations all throughout Boston, so if you are ever in the area, be sure to check a location near where you are staying. Everything is fresh, amazingly delicious, and beautiful too! My egg sandwich, coffee and pastries are the reason I cannot wait to go back to Boston. I will definitely be returning again.
Thanks for stopping by today! Talk to you all soon.
