A Glamourous Holiday Makeup Look

IMG_4496Today, I wanted to share with you all how to get a holiday makeup look that is great for Christmas or New Years Eve! Above you will see the completed makeup look. Now I will walk you through all of the steps.

IMG_4408IMG_4411First, I applied my Rimmel concealer, my Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duo, and then my L’Oreal loose powder all over my face. I spend a lot of time buffing in my powder for a flawless finish.

IMG_4416IMG_4432Next, I contoured my face with my Rimmel bronzer and placed it on my cheek bones and forehead (Any that the sun would naturally hit my face). Then I added my favorite Milani blush in a coral shade to add some color to my face.

IMG_4448IMG_4443I picked my favorite MAC taupe colored eyeshadow and applied it all over my lid for a more smokey yet natural eye look. Also, be sure to place a light shade on your eyebrow bone so that you define your eyebrows.

IMG_4462IMG_4467I then applied my favorite NYC liquid eyeliner and created a cat-like line to make my eyes appear larger. I topped off my lashes with my new favorite mascara from L’Oreal, their Teleoscopic line, which is extremely buildable and gives my lashes great length!

IMG_4481IMG_4473Lastly, I selected my all time favorite red lipstick by MAC called Russian Red to complete the look. This red is perfect for the holidays and just the right color for Christmas time!

I hope you all enjoyed this makeup tutorial! It is perfect for the holidays, so I hope that you can try it out today for Christmas day or for New Years Eve! Please tag me on Instagram if you do try this look!

Merry Christmas everyone! I love you all very much.

Mary Poppins Halloween Costume

102IMG_511187 35 694Blouse: Nordstrom Rack (Try this) , Skirt & Bag: H&M, Heels: Nine West (Similar), Hat & Bow-tie: Forever 21, Lipstick: MAC “Russian Red”, Nails: OPI “Big Apple Red”, Umbrella: Red Door Spa

Happy Halloween All! I wanted to share with you my costume for my office Halloween party yesterday, and tell you how I achieved this look. My office takes Halloween very seriously! We have a huge annual party with a extensive decor, food, great music provided by a DJ and an extremely competitive costume competition.

Every year, I try to dress up as something that I can create on my own. I like costumes that I can put together using clothing that I already have in my closet, and purchasing things that I can use again. For this Halloween, I decided to go with Mary Poppins. I mean, who doesn’t love that Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious woman! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed Julie Andrews in this film growing up. As a lover of all things fashion related, I was always in awe of how much she was able to fit into her purse!

To create this look, I wore heels, tights, a faux leather H&M skirt, and a button down white blouse that I already had. This was half of my costume, so I only needed to shop for accessories. On Wednesday, I decided to run to Forever 21, and luckily, I found exactly what I was looking for. I purchased this fabulous black hat, and red bow (which was a barrette, but I made it into a bow tie). To decorate the hat, I went to the Dollar Store after work and purchased two bundles of fake flowers, one white set and one red. I mean, $2! You can’t beat that. Finally, I borrowed this Red Door Spa umbrella from my best friends mom, and was finally finished with my costume! To top off the look, I wore MAC’s “Russian Red” lipstick, and O.P.I’s “Big Apple Red” on my nails; both of these items, I already had. In total, I may have spent a total of $25 on new items, and used everything else from my closet.

If you are attending a Halloween party this weekend, and aren’t sure what to be, I hope this look can inspire you!

Have a wonderful Halloween weekend with your children, family and friends. I will talk to you all very soon!

Classic, Feminine & Chic

1Skirt: Banana Republic, Shirt: Joe Fresh, Heels: Bandolino, Clutch: Forever 21, Pearl necklace worn as a bracelet: Macy’s (gift from my grandma), Lipstick: MAC “Russian Red”, Nails: OPI “Pink-ing of You”, Perfume: Coco Mademoiselle

One style that I love is the nautical look. This skirt definitely gives me that vibe because of its navy and white stripes. I paired this beautiful Banana Republic skirt with one of my favorite blouses from Joe Fresh. What I love most about this blouse is the detailing of the collar. It is like wearing a statement necklace but much more simple.

I also have featured two of my favorite beauty products of all time. The first is MAC’s Russian Red lipstick. This color is so vibrant, powerful, and is the perfect classic red. My second favorite beauty item is my Coco perfume. This scent is so beautiful and why wouldn’t it be? It’s Chanel!

I hope your Tuesday was peaceful and productive. I will talk to you all soon! Thanks for stopping by.

Skirt & Kimono: H&M, Tank Top & Bracelet: Target, Ring: Nordstrom Rack, Nails: Pink-ing of you by O.P.I., Heels: Jessica Simpson from Nordstrom Rack

This post features two of my favorite trends of the moment. Lace is the first. It screams femininity and is just simply beautiful. I love this skirt from H&M. It is currently in stores, so definitely check it out if you want the perfect summer skirt.

My next obsession are kimonos. They are in every store, I see them on so many girls, and I think they are beyond fabulous. Kimono’s are the perfect flowy cover up if you are looking for something less cardigan-y and something more feminine. This sheer mint kimono is also at H&M right now, and is a great price, so I highly recommend it.

What are some of your current favorite trends at the moment?

I hope you all had a great Monday and I will talk to you very soon!

Products: Lipstick in “Fruit Punch”, Coral Lip gloss in “Coral Crush”, Pink Lip gloss in “Sweet Grapefruit” and Blush in “Luminoso”

Welcome to my first post in my newest segment entitled “J’adore”. I wanted to start a segment where I discussed things that I am currently loving at the moment, and right now, I have been absolutely loving Milani Cosmetics products.

First things first, it is currently summer time (even more so here in Miami), so I am trying to incorporate more summer colors not only into my wardrobe but also into my beauty regimen. I started using Milani lipsticks first before their other products and what I loved most about their lipsticks is that they smell like delicious watermelon. The smell had me hooked from the get go. Also, their packaging is beautiful to me. The gold really draws me to their products when I am at the drug store, so I definitely have to credit the company on their presentation.

I then started to try their blushes during this past winter and I definitely loved the pigmentation of their colors. So when I saw that they had this beautiful new coral color in their baked blush line, I had to have it for this season. It has a slight shimmer, but not too much. Just enough to give you a summer glow.

And finally, their Brilliant Shine lip glosses have become my favorites. They too smell delicious, and the color payoff is fantastic. I highly recommend just their lip glosses if you are not into lipstick, but you want to rock a subtle color.

I hope you enjoyed my first J’adore segment, and I can’t wait to share more products with you that I am loving in the near future. Thank you all for stopping by!

Summer Nail Colors| Essie & O.P.I.

1Essie “Accrued Interest”, Essie “Muchi Muchi”, O.P.I. “Pink-ing of you”, Essie “Nice is nice”, Essie “Mint Candy Apple”

I was surprised by my favorite summer colors because the majority are Essie colors, and I have always thought of myself as an O.P.I. woman. Nonetheless, these are the colors I am loving right now for the summer time. They are all beautiful on pretty much every skin tone and are just the right amount of brightness but not too bright (aka neon, which I do see a lot of people wearing right now, but I haven’t taken a liking to yet). The only other colors that I thought about adding to this collection were Marshmallow by Essie or Funny Bunny by O.P.I, but I feel like those shades go without saying for every season.

So what are some of your favorite summer nail colors? What do you find yourself reaching for this time of the year? I would love to know if you have any recommendations for me, so that I can rotate a few more polishes into my summer nails.

Something fun that my co-workers and I are considering doing is a nail polish swap every two weeks. We all tend to swap nail polishes as it is, so we thought it might be a good idea for everyone to start bringing in their favorite colors, and we can all borrow one another’s polishes. Good idea, huh? I think so! I will keep you posted on the development of this swap.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and a wonderful Monday to start your week!

H&M Opening Tomorrow| Miami International Mall

H&M

I have some exciting news for all my fashionistas in Miami! H&M is opening at a new location tomorrow, May 29th, at the Miami International Mall. Stop by at noon to see all of their latest trends and styles, and shop at great prices! I will be there, so come shop with me!

One of the things I love most about H&M is that they have rolled out a global garment recycling program that helps save natural resources and contributes to a reduced environmental impact by donating old and unwanted pieces of clothing from any brand while in the store. H&M really has made a huge effort to help our environment with this initiative, so you can be fashionable, while being environmentally conscious!

The best part about tomorrow: Customers will receive a voucher for 15% off their entire purchase for each bag of donated clothing. To kick off the recycling program on opening day, customers who bring garments to be recycled before the store opens at noon will also have the chance to win H&M gift cards valued between $50 and $100 in addition to
receiving the 15% off voucher!

And even more exciting news!! In celebration of their opening day, H&M at Miami International Mall will offer the first 100 shoppers in line an H&M t-shirt and Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $300, in addition to other fantastic opening offers!

So please come and join me tomorrow at noon for this fabulous opening! Can’t wait to see you all there!

P.S.
